New Family Fun!

Look What We Won!

A man's and woman's bike! They are Raleigh Detours!

No lie! Michael and I attended my company employee appreciation night

last night and came home with these!

I can just picture us now, riding down the road, having a deep conversation,
falling in love all over again, hair blowing in the breeze,
with the sun shimmering over head,
listening to the sweet sound of Kamren screaming in the
bike trailer (because he can't ride the bike)....

Just kidding, I'm so excited! I've wanted bikes since before we were married!

Kamren loves them already too. He likes to sit on the seat and and be pushed around.

Now we just need:
a bike trailer
a helmet for Kamren
bike locks
bike rack for the car...

Thank you, Thank you, Thank You to J&R Cyclery in Craig, CO!

This is the company that donated the bikes and the helmets.

Dinos and Bunnies

Note: Just a note to check out the new Dino pic. The birthday candles are still there, but if you look closely, he is now wearing a graduation cap and holding a diploma. Congrats to all you graduates! Here is Vernal's tribute to you!
Also, check out these bunnies! Seriously, they are rabbits. We have a garden at work that O&A plants and takes care of. While we were tilling a couple of months ago accidentally ran over a bunny nest. Of that nest only one survived and was nursed back to health and released.
Well, this last week in the garden we found two more nests and have officially scared off one of the mother's. So, here is our new nest of bunnies we are once again nursing back to health.

Look how small they are. These ones didn't even have their eyes open yet!

I Just Can't Contain it all!

My head is going to explode!
Seriously, it is.

So, I decided to do a quick post before it does, maybe these will be
my last words.... who knows.

Anyway, I'm doing my homework
(and yes, its 11:30 at night and the assignment is due tomorrow)
I just really don't know what I was thinking... going back to school! I'm such an idiot!

I'm supposed to write a letter to a senator, join a coalition and get involved and call a senator about the issue I've chosen to be involved in!

I don't even know what I'd say to a senator in a letter or a phone call
"Hi......(long awkward pause)..... umm.......k thanks"
and then I'd probably just hang up-without saying goodbye.

And, hello, I'm supposed to have time to join a coalition and get involved.
When am I supposed to do that?
Between being called a racist at work and changing Kam's bum?
I don't think so!

Yes, I'm venting
Yes, I've had a bad day
and
Yes, I was called a racist at work today

(I really should find the humor in it though because the woman implied I was racist toward African American people and she and her son that so adamantly hate me are Hispanic! So, why would she care if I were racist toward African American people?)
I already feel better, thanks for listening.

Just My Luck

Well I'm home. Yes, the week isn't over yet, the training is still going
and I'm home.
Why, you may ask...... I hurt my shoulder!
And it hurts really bad. So, long story short, I got hurt while one of the moves
was being done on me. I had to go to the Dr. and am now
out of work and on worker's comp. That's a whole story in itself.
I have to follow up with the Dr. tomorrow, but for as much pain as I'm in
I don't see anything getting better anytime soon.
My pain meds knock me out! So, I try not to take them during the day because I have
Kamren. But, sometimes it hasn't worn off in the morning and I've had to have family
help take care of him.
Thanks Roseanna, Becca, Diane and Mom for helping.

Its all about time..... well, for an update anyway

So, this last week I've been in Salt Lake training for work. JJS has contracted with a new tactical response program and I'm becoming a certified trainer for the State of Utah with this program.

After a week of getting thrown around for 8 hours a day I'm done! I really hurt so badly I can hardly type! So, I'll try to keep this short. I'd show you pictures of all of my battle wounds, but pictures of my bare body aren't pretty without bruises so, I'll spare the blog world the horrific sight!

Anyway, good news, one week down. Bad news, I have to go again all next week too! *I may just die my the end of this!*

I'm so grateful though that I've been able to take Kamren with me, I don't know what I'd do without him he'd do without me for weeks on end. So, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You to Nicole, Heather, Dad and Margo for watching Kamren during the week!

*This is an over dramatization and unfortunately will probably live through ALL of the forthcoming beatings.
